What to Expect on the Tour
- Meet your guide at an elevation of 8,500 feet, surrounded by a stunning Ponderosa forest. You will receive the meeting point in your confirmation email.
- Receive a thorough, fun orientation to snowmobile controls and trail rules.
- Embark on your adventure through groomed trails, open meadows, and Aspen groves, climbing to 11,000 feet.
- Stop for plenty of photos and even some “play riding” in scenic areas.

Does Snowmobile Moab provide gear?
Yes, we’ve got you covered! We rent:
- Snowsuits
- Winter boots

Note: We do not rent gloves, but gloves are required for your trip. While our snowmobiles have hand warmers built into the handlebars, proper gloves are essential.
What are the age restrictions to drive?
Drivers must be 16 years or older. To carry a passenger, the driver must be at least 18 years old.
What are the age restrictions for passengers?
Passengers must sit behind the driver (no one can sit in front). They must be able to hold on for the full duration of the two-hour tour. We recommend a minimum age of 5 years old.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes, there is a strict 400-pound weight limit per machine to ensure the snowmobiles operate properly and safely.
FAQIs there any avalanche risk?
No, we carefully travel on marked trails far from avalanche zones. You’ll enjoy incredible views of Mt. Peale’s dramatic northeast face and stunning alpine scenery without any risk.
Can I drink alcohol on the tour?
No, alcohol is prohibited. You’ll be operating a motor vehicle, and safety is our top priority.
Will the snowmobile tip over?
It’s possible, depending on how you drive. Don’t worry — we’ll provide a detailed orientation covering snowmobile controls and trail rules to help you stay safe and have fun. You’re in control of the excitement!
Is it customary to tip the guide?
Yes, tipping your guide is appreciated, just like tipping a server at a restaurant.
